Thank you for visiting our site!

In brief, you should know the following about us:  Our company was established in 2009 and is dedicated to providing outstanding service.  Our specialty is in providing seeds and/or information for establishing dedicated bioenergy crops in North America.  We also provide seeds for the USDA Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).
Biofuels are produced from living organisms or from metabolic by-products (organic or food waste products).   A biofuel is originally derived from the photosynthesis process and can therefore often be referred to as a solar energy source.

If you are not familiar with our company and your first contact with us is online, we would be pleased to hear from you!  Please let us know what your needs and questions are.  We will be more than happy to help.

New Updates

May 5, 2011: Show Me Energy Cooperate at Centerview, Missouri announced that its proposal for a Biomass Crop Assistance Program designated area has been accepted by the USDA.

The designation creates a “fuel shed” of 30 counties in Western Missouri and 8 adjacent eastern Kansas Counties.  Farmers in those counties will grow dedicated energy crops of Native grasses that will be harvested for Biomass and delivered to the Show Me Energy Coop at Centerview, Missouri.  The plant at Centerview will use these biomass energy crops to produce electric power instead of using gasoline/diesel automotive fuel.

The USDA will soon be accepting applications from farmers in western Missouri and eastern Kansas to place land in the new 5 year biofuel reserve program.

BCAP Seed, LLC will be working with Show Me Energy Coop to provide seeds for this new program.

To date, plant species recommended for the Biofuel Reserve establishment include:
Big Bluestem, Indiangrass, Switchgrass, Canada Wild Rye, Virginia Wild Rye, and Native legumes such as Purple Prairie Clover and Illinois Bundleflower.

USDA will provide cost sharing for site specific mixtures that will be announced in the very near future.
